About Technical Operations
BioMarin’s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarin’s cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.
Business Systems Optimization Lead, Sr. Associate
SUMMARY
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Optimizing System Processes by analyzing current systems, business processes, data workflows and identifying areas for improvement in collaboration with End-Users, SMEs and/or Process Leads.
- Cross site collaboration, standardization and alignment for approaches, recommendations and issue resolutions.
- Serve as key liaison between site and functions especially for SAP issues and escalations.
- Proactively engage with cross-functional teams to analyze data, provide insights, and support decision-making for system implementation and business integration.
- Assessing user proficiency, developing training materials, and managing change initiatives.
- Drive the process improvement and digital transformation roadmap with cross-functional partners, ensuring outcomes align with business strategic goals
- Manage and enhance communication channels, visual displays, and slide decks to effectively convey business goals, progress, key performance indicators, and achievements across the organization.
- Develop and maintain project plans, project status reports, highlighting milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Translate technical and system jargon into clear business language and vice versa.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience with change management, driving organizational transformation, and the ability to partner with other functional groups to achieve business objectives.
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing, Quality and/or Supply Chain preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical thinking.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
EDUCATION
- BA/BS in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.
